The main target for benzodiazepines is on GABAa receptors to enhance activity of these inhibitory neurotransmitter. GABAa receptors are widely distributed in both brain and retina. On the other hand, GABAc receptors are not sensitive to benzodiazepines. Any problem you experienced with your eye is unlikely mediated by GABAc receptors in the retina. I strongly recommend you to check with an ophthalmologist for your specific eye problem.

Dr. Qian,
Hi I appreciate your research on Gabac. I am interested in further developments, as I have also went to medical school and have a paper published in biochemistry.
Moreover, I have been a pt with PTSD and have taken Benzos for over 10 years and now am experincing neg affects with my EYES... What are your thoughts on the biochemistry of what might be occuring in my eyes?
