The Department of Biology at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY seeks outstanding candidates for a tenure-track ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the area of NEUROSCIENCE. This position is part of the development of a new interdisciplinary neuroscience program at the undergraduate level and efforts to continue growth in neuroscience research and graduate education. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent, extramurally funded research program that complements strengths within the Department and across a highly interactive campus. Current Departmental strengths include neural and visual development, regeneration in diverse animal models, circadian rhythms, and sleep. However, applicants in all areas of neuroscience are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. (or equivalent) and postdoctoral research experience are required.
